We were collecting money for summer holidays for children from the Orphanage in Łódź at ul. Drużynowa 3/5.
On May 4, 2011 (Tuesday), our Honorary Friend, Marcellous L. Jones, came to Łódź. We met him and Phaedra at dinner in Irish Pub. Marcellous brought us 16 wonderful luxurious shirts made by the French company Franck Michel Paris.
Thanks to him, we collected a lot of money for summer holidays for children from the Orphanage.

Beginning from the morning of May 6 (Friday), we prepared our stand. In the afternoon, the first guests of Fashion Week began to arrive and they dropped in at us as well. We were really happy that people visiting Fashion Week found some time to support our campaign.
Our Association has an idea how to collect money for those who need it. We have decided to show our initiative and try not to ask any institutions for financial support. We try to establish cooperation with well-known people, who are willing to give us their first name and surname, motto, or drawing. These will be put on various objects, e.g. cups, plates, or T-shirts. Thanks to the sales of these products with celebrities’ autographs, we are able to collect money for charity.
This way, well-known people are able to leave behind something very valuable – a gesture of their heart.
Our Friend Marcellous brought an extraordinary gift for the Association – a drawing from KENZO Takada, which may be used for the production of various objects. By selling them, we will collect money for charity. The ceremony of donating the drawing took place on Friday evening during “Złota Nitka”.
Accounts of this event were published by press. We were also able to present a press article about us to the Japanese Ambassador’s wife, Yukiko Kusumoto.
The whole Sunday was very busy. We were selling cups, plates, T-shirts, and Franck Michel shirts. Our collection box was filling up very nicely.
We admire the stars which honoured us with their presence and found some time to stop at our stand and support the HOLIDAY campaign for children from the Orphanage. We appreciate their efforts.
While we were collecting money, Iwona Pavlovic became interested in our campaign and decided to help us. She came to the stand in-between the shows and recommended our campaign to other people. She also gave interviews at our stand.
We are also grateful to MMC. On Saturday, Rafał Michalak decided to donate an MMC dress for our charity campaign. In this dress, Joanna Horodyńska received her Fashion Oscar award for the best dressed Polish woman. The ceremony was recorded by Jacek Grudzień TV crew.
After the show of the Łódź company Hexeline, its owner, Halina Zawadzka, came to visit us. It is exceptional that you found some time for us. Thank you very much!
In the evening, we were also visited by Katarzyna Skrzynecka and her husband, Marcin.
During all these days, Marcellous took care of us as well. Despite his many responsibilities and busy schedule, he visited our stand several times a day and asked whether we need anything. We are very happy that he is our friend.
