On 06 April 2013, in the Poznański Palace, the first edition of a new music project of the “Friends of the World” Association was held. It was called “Friends are Playing Music” – “Moscow, New York, Łódź”. Over 200 guests came to this charity concert. The cause was really noble, as we are still supporting the Cardiology Ward of the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital – Research Institute and the Complex of Special Schools no. 7 in Łódź, i.e. children with heart diseases and hearing and speech deficits.
The concert was started by an extremely talented Russian pianist, Lena Ledoff, accompanied by Anna Werecka, a mezzo soprano. Samokhin Band played especially for the Association as well. Pavel Samokhin invited, as his guest, ANDRZEJ ADAMIAK from the “Rezerwat” band, who sang “Zaopiekuj się mną”. We also organized a little snack for all Guests and a party with music played by a DJ. All funds collected during the event are donated to helping children and saving their lives. The Association does not pay any costs related to its seat at ul. Traktorowa 23 A. We do not employ any workers and do not pay phone or printing costs with the Association’s funds. Members of the “Friends of the World” Association do not benefit from the activities of the Association; they only derive satisfaction from giving smiles and joy to those who need them.
